The atmosphere at Blu's evokes a sense of nostalgia, offering a unique dining experience that’s both comfortable and laid-back. Customers have described it as a blend of a restaurant, gas station, flea market, and a meeting place, creating an inviting vibe that feels right at home. You might even find dog food bags stacked nearby while enjoying your meal at one of their indoor picnic tables, a testament to the creative and eclectic spirit of the eatery.
Reviewers consistently highlight the menu's versatility and the homemade quality of the food. From hearty breakfasts featuring veggie omelets to loaded fries and wings, the dishes capture the essence of comfort food. Chez Rupe praises the freshness of the meals, stating, “It tasted fresh, like it was made from scratch.” This dedication to quality shines through, whether you're indulging in a classic breakfast or savoring a delightful lunch.
But the culinary experience at Blu's is not just about the food; it's enriched by the service. This arms-open attitude is further echoed by reviews of their quick service, even during busy moments. The sense of community here is palpable, making each visit feel personal and special.
Yet, there’s room for improvement, as some guests have pointed out inconsistencies in food quality, particularly during evening hours. Basic favorites like macaroni may not hit the mark every time, and it’s clear that some diners desire a wider array of options, especially for those with dietary restrictions. However, the cleanliness of the space and the friendliness of the workers remain steadfast sources of positive feedback.
Overall, Blu's Eat House stands as a delightful and unique establishment worth experiencing. Come savor the moment—at Blu's, every meal becomes a memory.
Ordered wings and loaded fries. Fries were not bad.
Great food! Great service! Great place! We plan to check out the cottages next time. The food was really good. It tasted fresh, like it was made from scratch not a restaurant supply quick mix. We tried a veggie omelet with biscuit with gravy and grits; and a two eggs over medium with sausage, grits and biscuit breakfast. (Order your gravy on the side if you don't want it covering your split biscuit. Sometimes I like to try gravy on one half and preserves on the other half - but not this day!)
Well, it was a fun experience. It was sorta dark in there, kinda unorganized, piles of dog food bags by the indoor picnic tables. One bathroom at the end of a hall...was not cute but was clean. Boarded up doorways and lots of signs on the wall. The food smelled great! They literally had it all in there, restaurant, gas station, flea market, meeting place. It just seemed like a happy relaxed place that was comfortable in its own skin. Five stars. I loved it!
Love it we stayed the weekend an had a blast
We stopped to fuel up, both the car and us. The staff were amazing and kind, the menu is awesome, so much to choose from. It's a good price and quick from order to table.
I failed to take photos but this is a great place. The atmosphere is old time country but the service is what makes it truly unique, they treat you like family - no, I take that back like honored guest. There are cabins on the lake that are spacious and clean. We called before we arrived and were told that they closed at 10pm, yet they stayed late to allow us to check in. Who does that these days? Great place THE VIEW!!!!
Yes sometimes the food is great but sometimes it’s so not the macaroni is burnt! Food isn’t as good at night. I get supper there mostly the workers are so kind and friendly. I also am on a very strict diet due to stomach conditions they don’t have anything as far as sides without onions or just completely unhealthy. They don’t even have baked potatoes corn anything regular. It is very clean. I just feel they need to have employees that try and make the food great at the price they charge it should be.
Food was just okay. Side dishes were not hot and I told the cook later after we ate. She said warmers may be going out and she would have heated them for us if she knew. That was very nice of her.
